Maxillofacial Prosthetics
Maxillofacial prosthetics are a subspecialty of prosthodontics but also required rehabilitation. Patients with jaw defects require devices called Maxillofacial Prosthetics. Moreover, Jaw defects from birth or disease are more common than you think.
There are two types of devices. First, a device that develops the extraoral or facial structures like the eye, ear, nose, lips, etc. The second is intraoral types that replace missing bone, gum tissue, and teeth. Because of the diminished quality of life from jaw defects, our goal is to bring patients close to optimum function, speech, and cosmetic appearance and improve that quality. Most importantly, our patients come first.
At CCIPD, we work closely with a team of Oral and maxillofacial surgeons, ENT surgeons, Anaplastologists, speech therapists to deliver you the best care possible. We stand by our work. More importantly, believe we can bring a better quality of life to our patients.
