These are the devices made for patients who have defects in their jaw at time of birth or develop those due to diseases like cancer etc. or trauma.

They are basically two types, one replacing the extraoral or facial structures like the eye, ear, nose, lips, etc. The other one is intraoral types replacing missing bone, gum tissue, and teeth.

Conditions like missing parts of the upper jaw such that the oral cavity and nasal cavity and sinus are all connected can be treated by these devices. The goal is to bring patient close to optimum function, speech and cosmetic appearance and improve their quality of life.

At our practice, we work closely with a team of Oral and maxillofacial surgeons, ENT surgeons, Anaplastologists, speech therapists and other specialists to help and treat the patients requiring any of those devices. Apart from that our team is trained to perform thorough dental exam and treatment before the patient needs to go for intraoral radiation or bisphosphonates therapy.
