Initial Consultation

Prior to your visit to our office, Ria, our receptionist, and office manager will make arrangements with you. She will assist you by answering any questions about our practice or philosophy, as well as the details regarding your first visit.

If you have had x-rays taken at other dental offices, please bring copies of these with you to your initial consultation.

Please assist us by bringing a list of any medications and dosages that you may be taking, as well as the contact information for your medical and past dental professionals.

New Patient Examination Records

When you arrive at our office, you will be greeted by Ria, who will ask you to complete several forms, assuming they have not already been sent in prior to your appointment. She will then inform the relevant member of the team that you are present for your appointment and you will then be seated in a comfortable room with all of the latest high-tech diagnostic equipment. This technology enables us to thoroughly evaluate and document your particular situation.

Our doctors will review your medical history, as well as your dental history, and help assess your dental needs. Our doctors will then perform a full prosthodontic examination. For more complex treatment, additional records such as dental impressions of your teeth, area-specific radiographs, or digital photographs may be required. In patients seeking implant therapy, we usually refer you to an oral radiologist nearby to have a CT scan of your jaws. Please inform a member of the team if you are traveling so additional time can be reserved for this detailed records appointment on the same day.

Treatment here at our office is specifically customized for each patient. We will make every attempt to present your treatment options at the time of your initial consultation. However, in very complex cases, more time is needed to gather information and develop a plan, and we will need to schedule a second appointment to review your options with you. Whichever the case, you will be given a thorough explanation and take the time to answer any questions that you may have.

A copy of your proposed treatment plan, with different options, will be provided to you along with an estimate of the costs of treatment. Ria will assist you with your insurance claims and any questions you may have once you have decided to pursue further treatment.

Once all diagnostic information has been collected and a treatment plan has been agreed upon, we will begin active treatment according to the plan you’ve chosen.
