A new dental health website has recently gone live. Sponsored by the American Dental Association (ADA), MouthHealthy.org offers helpful, up-to-date oral health information for your entire family.
The website offers valuable information on how your lifestyle affects the dental health of you and your family, including nutrition, dental products, common dental problems and concerns, dental facts and fiction, as well as how your "life stage" affects your teeth and mouth. You can check out dental information based your own life stage at the links below:

Another extremely helpful tool you can find at MouthHealthy.org is their Dental Symptom Checker™. As the website says, you can "Use the ADA® Dental Symptom Checker™ to understand what your dental symptoms may mean so that you can make informed decisions about your dental health."
To use the checker, first read the terms and conditions for its use, then simply enter your age and gender, as well as the symptom location: cheek, face, jaw, mouth, neck. This will be followed by a list of possible symptoms for you to choose from (check all that apply), along with a sliding pain scale. After clicking on the "See Possible Conditions" button at the bottom of the page, you will be presented with a list of oral conditions that may be causing your symptoms.
The simple three-step process described above can help you determine when to see you dental professional for help.
